Altitude, cold, darkness, remote terrain and transport can create serious risks; a checklist cannot account for every situation.
No observing guarantee
Destination descriptions are not forecasts or promises of darkness, clarity, comfortable conditions or a particular celestial view. Photographs provide general context unless a caption expressly identifies a verified location. A public visitor programme does not imply access to research facilities or permission to observe elsewhere on the property.

The field-note composer formats text locally in your browser. It does not send a message, reserve a place or create a support request. You are responsible for reviewing generated text and choosing whether to copy, save or send it. Clipboard access and downloads depend on your device and browser. Keep your own copy of important information and do not rely on the tool for emergency communications.
